Towner Energy Center
The proposed Towner Energy Center in Kiowa County, Colorado, will generate clean, American-made energy to meet the nation's growing electricity demand, starting with Towner East and Towner West, two 500 MW wind energy projects. Additional phases of the project will aim to capture and store the superior wind and solar resources in Colorado to deliver efficient, reliable, low-cost energy to the surrounding communities.
The Towner Energy Center expects to employ up to 700 local and regional workers during construction of current and future phases, and create approximately 30 permanent operations and maintenance (O&M) jobs in and around Kiowa County.
The proposed Towner Energy Center would provide up to $100 million in local and state taxes to the surrounding communities throughout the life of the project, leading to impactful social and economic benefits in the area.
Providing a new significant source of income for landowners, the Towner Energy Center will provide millions in land costs and lease payments over the estimated 30-year project lifetime.
We have successfully completed the development of 7 sustainable energy projects spanning 5 counties in Colorado to-date including 6 wind farms.
These projects generate enough electricity to power over 315,000 American homes and brought millions of dollars into local economies
while providing an additional source of clean energy for Colorado and our nation. Invenergy continues to develop other wind and solar projects
across Colorado, all in various stages of development.
