Towner East & Towner West Wind Project Amendments Approved

On August 28, 2025, the Kiowa County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously to approve amendments to the 1041 permits for the Towner East and Towner West Wind Projects. This marks an important milestone for the projects and allows them to proceed to construction. 

Invenergy and the County worked together to agree upon amendments that strongly support the community while enabling the Towner Wind Projects to remain economically viable.

The Towner projects will provide significant economic resources to the county for decades to come, and we appreciate the hard work and dedication of the Commissioners and staff in making a thoughtful decision that will support economic development in their County.
